GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania – Eleanor M. Snyder, 75, of College Avenue, Greenville, passed away following an extended illness Friday evening, October 13, 2017 at St. Paul’s in Greenville.
She was born in Greenville, on December 5, 1941 to the late Daniel and Evelyn (Reeher) Lapadat.
Eleanor was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School and received an associate accounting degree from Thiel College.
She was a member of Zions Reformed United Church of Christ in Greenville and was retired from Pymatuning Independent Telephone Company as treasurer.
She loved to sew and quilt and spent countless hours making various items for cancer patients, disadvantaged children and babies.
Eleanor is survived by her husband at home, Alan C. Snyder. They were married on April 14, 1968. Also surviving are five sisters, Linda Callahan and her husband, Robert, of Ashtabula, Ohio, Angela Scarola and her husband, Phil, of Export, Pennsylvania, Yvonne Sullivan and her husband, Shawn, of Atlantic, Pennsylvania, Theresa Baggett of Cleveland, Tennessee and Mary Tatum of Cleveland, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Martin Korbini and a brother, Martin Korbini.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 18 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Avene, Greenville.
Funeral and committal services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18 with Rev. Glen Sadler, officiating.
Burial will be held at Shenango Valley Cemetery in Greenville.
