CAMPBELL, Ohio – Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 21, 2017, at New Hope Baptist Church, for Franklin D. Weaver Sr., 84, Campbell who departed this life on Friday, October 13, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Weaver was born June 3, 1933, in Youngstown, a son of Thomas and Gussie Freeman Weaver, Sr.
He was an Army veteran, worked for the Ohio State liquor agency, a bus driver for Campbell City School and WRTA retiring after many years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Elvira Miller, whom he married August 28, 1954; children, Franklin (Shirley) Weaver, Jr., Sonya (William) Murray, Renee Weaver Smith, Michelle (Dwayne) Thomas, Rashawn Watkins, all of Youngstown, Richard (Earlina) Weaver, Sr., of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Kimberly (Christopher) Blandon of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, Robert Weaver, Sr., of Abbots Fort, Wisconsin; 22 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Andre Reeder; a grandson, Franklin Weaver III; siblings, Willa Mae, Vivian, Thomas, Sr., George, John and Willie.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the church.
