Ruth I. McMonagle, Hubbard, Ohio - obit

HUBBARD, Ohio – There will be services held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home in Hubbard for Ruth I. McMonagle age 91, who passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at home.

Ruth was born February 5, 1926 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a daughter of William J. and Nettie Rae Wigley Brooks.

She was an assembler for 23 years at Packard Electric retiring, in 1986.

Ruth was a member of Village View Community Church of Summerfield, Florida and crocheted prayer squares for the church and our military troops.

She enjoyed playing poker with her grandchildren, baking, crocheting, camping, shopping, casinos and going out to eat.

Her husband, Charles E. McMonagle, whom she married December 1, 1945, passed away October 21, 1970.

She will be sadly missed by her family; her children, Charles E. (Donna) McMonagle of Bristol, Ohio, Shirley “Jeanne” Migletz of Raytown, Missouri, James L. (Linda) McMonagle, Bill (Leslie) McMonagle and Cindy (Dean) Beasley all of Hubbard; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She also leaves her brother, Robert Brooks of Baden, Pennsylvania.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles and her second husband, Glenn E. Miller; her daughter, Sherrell Ann McFarland; her grandson, Brad; her son-in-law Leo Flaherty and her sisters, Peggy McCracken, Betty Butera and Lillie Mae Nicholson.

There will be calling hours on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
