GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania – Dorothy M. Hull, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hermitage, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 28, 2017 at St. Paul’s CCRC, Greenville, after a brief illness. She was 84.
Dorothy was born in Guilderland, New York on January 19, 1933, the daughter of the late James and Jessie (Downs) Wilcox.
She enjoyed playing cards, doing cross stitch and traveling.
Dorothy grew up spending summers in Arlington, Vermont, living next door to Norman Rockwell and his family, whom she enjoyed spending time with.
She was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Auxiliary.
Dorothy married Theodore R. Hull on June 29, 1952. He died on November 6, 2013.
She is survived by her two daughters, Melinda Hull of Tokyo, Japan and Cynthia Riggs of Columbus, Ohio, along with her son, Jeffrey Hull and his wife, Jessie, of Jamestown, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Bradley Schroeder and his wife, Jamie, Bryan Schroeder, Caitlin Hull and Courtney Hull and two great-grandchildren, Lenox and Amara Schroeder.
Beside her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Hull.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Christopher Hull Memorial Kidney Fund at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, 6505 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
Her family would like to thank everyone at St. Paul’s for their wonderful care and compassion during Dorothy’s time spent there.
