YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Louie (LuLu) Lamar Hopkins, Jr., age 57, of 448 W. Myrtle Avenue in Youngstown, departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Hopkins was born March 3, 1960 in Youngstown, a son of Louie J. Hopkins, Sr. and Saundra R. Hopkins-Parks.
Louie loved fishing, roller skating, riding motorcycles and drums.
He studied Islam and his Arabic name was حبيب “Habib”.
Louie leaves to cherish his memories his father; one son, Keewuan Hopkins of Youngstown; one brother, Tony Hopkins of Youngstown; three sisters, Montane Hopkins, Carmen Hopkins-Harrison and Robin Johnson, all of Youngstown; one grandchild, Kimaani Hopkins; two special aunts, Bette Pattenson and Marsha Mims; as well as a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; friends and loved ones whom will miss him so deeply.
Louie as preceded in death by his mother; his son, Quinton Clark; his brother, Terry L. Hopkins; his grandparents, Simon and Charlie Ann Hopkins and Arthur and Roberta Parks; his uncle, Houston Hopkins and his aunt, Gwendolyn Hopkins.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 12, 2017 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Conley & Vanden Berg Funeral Home, 75 E. Midlothian Blvd. in Youngstown.
Funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
