GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania – Harry L. Heppner, age 98, of The Colony at St. Paul’s, passed away in his home Sunday evening, December 17, 2017.
Mr. Heppner was born November 3, 1919 in Holtville, California to Harry and Ellen (Sprague) Heppner.
He was a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles and earned his graduate degree at the University of Southern California.
Mr. Heppner served as an Elementary School Administrator with Los Angeles Unified School District for 30 years.
Previous to his employment, he had served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII and in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Vista, California.
Mr. Heppner was a member and officer of the Associated Administrators of Los Angeles, a member of Phi Delta Kappa and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville.
His hobbies included, woodworking, reading and poetry.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Heppner at home and his daughter, Robin Adams and her husband, Fred of Riverside, California.
Mr. Heppner was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Lee Heppner and two brothers, Donald Heppner and Robert Heppner.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 in the Keifer Chapel of St. Paul’s, with Pastor Dale Shaw, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main Street, Greenville.
