SALEM, Ohio – William Dean Wright, age 79, of Salem died at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1938 in Lisbon, the son of the late Raymond and Laura (Wycoff) Wright.
William retired in 2003 as terminal manager of Advantage Tank Lines of Leetonia.
He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, a 1956 graduate of Fairfield High School, a member of the Salem Elks Lodge #305, the Salem Independent Hose Club, Salem Hills Golf Club and enjoyed golf.
He is survived by his second wife, Virginia “Jeanne” (Grier) Wright, whom he married December 28, 1991; two sons, Daniel (Mary) Wright and Samuel Wright, both of Columbiana; a daughter, Tammy Raggozine of Fayetteville, Georgia; a stepson, James L. (Marie) Potts of Boardman; a stepdaughter, Karen Potts of Columbiana; two brothers, Paul (Ruby) Wright of Lisbon and John (Carole) Wright of Dayton; four grandchildren, Daniel Wright, Fred Raggozine, Jamison (Jessie) Yates and Jason Yates; three stepgrandchildren, Nina, James A. and Macy Potts and one great-granddaughter, Angelina Yates.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, O. Marie (Blosser) Wright; a brother, Gaylord Wright; a sister, Patricia Irwin and three grandchildren, Dustin Wright, Chris Wright and BrieAnn Raggozine.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
