NEWTON FALLS, Ohio – Harry Eugene Stewart, age 90, of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Health Center.
Harry was born on November 10, 1927 in East Bank, West Virginia, the son of the late Thomas and Beulah (Jordan) Stewart.
Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving During WWII. During his time in the Navy he was involved in the atomic bomb testing at Bikini Beach.
Harry married the former Janet Eileen Myers on April 18, 1948. Harry and Janet have been blessed with 69 years of marriage.
Harry owned and operated Stewart Plumbing & Heating in Newton Falls for 20 years. Harry then became the Supervisor of Trade Skills with the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 20 years.
Harry was a member of the First Congregational Church in Newton Falls.
He enjoyed square dancing, roller skating, bowling, swimming and Harry was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Loving memories of Harry will be carried on by his wife, Janet Stewart of Newton Falls; daughter, Joyce Beach of Braceville; sons, Douglas Stewart of Newton Falls, Bruce Stewart of Ft. Larendale, Florida; grandchildren, Dustin Beach and Fawn Beach and great-grandchildren, Sky Tenney and Kaitlyn Beach.
Harry was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Raymond Stewart.
Per Harry’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Cremation has taken place.
