Christopher "Chris" Minotti, Warren, Ohio - obit

WARREN, Ohio – Christopher “Chris” Minotti, 66, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 17, 1951, in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Sam D. and Elizabeth “Betty” Minotti.

He was a 1969 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ohio University.

Chris retired as Owner and Operator of CM Distribution in Warren for the last 15 years. He previously worked at Job & Family Services, as a tutor and a substitute teacher in Trumbull County Schools.

Chris was an avid golfer and had a hole-in-one at Tamer Win in 2016. He enjoyed and loved Myrtle Beach and had golfed over 50 courses there. He also enjoyed playing pinochle with friends and texas hold’em, watching black and white movies, reading, science fiction, painting with oils, classical music, going to comedy clubs, a dry red wine or a single malt scotch. Chris had a pilot license and enjoyed flying.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Minotti whom he married June 9, 2001; a son, Sam C. Minotti of Niles; a nephew, Alan Meehan and a sister in-law, Jeannette Minotti of Mingo Junction.

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Ann (Davison) Minotti and two brothers, Sam J. and Thomas Minotti.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, January 9 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 10 from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A service will be Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Kachersky officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Chris’s name to the Warren Relay for Life.

Family and friends may visit to sign the guest book and send condolences to the Minotti family.
