Carolyn L. Falvo, Hermitage, Pennsylvania - obit

HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania – Carolyn L. Falvo, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 after an extended illness. She was 70.

Carolyn was born in Sharon on March 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Walter S. McNutt, Sr. and Betty J. (Hassell) McNutt.

She graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1965.

Carolyn was a member of Greater New and Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith.

She had worked as a salesperson at Wal-Mart in Hermitage. Previous to that she had worked at the former Stambaughs and Thrift Drug Store.

She enjoyed cooking and making crafts. She liked to volunteer helping out in the food pantry for the church and for the seniors of the church.

Her family includes her daughter, Minister Michelle Falvo of Hermitage; a sister, Connie L. Taub of Stafford, Virginia; her four brothers, Walter S. McNutt, Jr. of West Middlesex, David A. McNutt of Marionville, Pennsylvania, Clayton C. McNutt of Columbus, Ohio and Timothy K. McNutt and his wife, Eman of West Palm Beach, Florida. Also surviving are nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Sharon Regional Health System Hospice and Palliative Care for their excellent care and compassion given to Carolyn during her illness.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, Pennsylvania 16146.

Funeral service at Greater New & Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith in Sharon at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16 with Bishop Alvin J. McCoy officiating.

Cremation services provided by the funeral home.
