LISBON, Ohio – Michael A. Pastore, 61, of Eagleton Road, passed away peacefully at 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Vista Care at the Ridge following a lengthy illness.
Michael was born July 24, 1956 in Salem, a son of the late Fred S. and Ruth Ann (Willis) Pastore and had lived in this area all of his life.
A 1975 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, he worked as a printer at Salem Label for 13 years and then 25 years at Hess Printing Solutions and its predecessor Press of Ohio.
Michael attended St. George Catholic Church, was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, loved music and tinkering with his tractor and being outdoors.
He was inducted into the Lisbon David Anderson High School Athletic Hall of Fame, Class of 2011.
Michael is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, Candy (Jackson) Pastore, whom he married July 11, 1991; stepdaughters, Tracey Boudreau of Columbus and Sarah Pagani of Salem; sisters, Harva Blocksom of Lisbon and Ruth Ann (William) Heinze of Kernville, California; brothers, Fred A. (Lori) Pastore of Leetonia and Joseph A. Pastore of Lisbon; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his stepson, Joseph Harrison.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Wassie officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Boy Scouts of America, Great Trail Council, 1601 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44301.
