Suspect ID’d as south side shooter pleads not guilty

Police said the victims were inside a house on Detroit Avenue in Youngstown last spring when they were attacked and injured

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A suspect police identified in a shooting that injured two last spring pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.

James Nicholson appeared in court Tuesday morning, charged with felonious assault.

The victims were inside a house on Detroit Avenue when they were attacked in May. That shooting happened within minutes of another at a house nearby.

Nicholson was arrested ten days after the shooting during a traffic stop.
