LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a truck fire on Friday morning.
It happened just after 10 a.m. on Interstate 80 in Liberty.
Troopers say the driver of the FedEx semi-truck was heading east when he noticed smoke coming from the steering column.
The driver pulled over just beyond the Belmont Avenue exit and opened the hood when flames poured out.
Both the driver and a state trooper who pulled up to the scene tried putting the fire out with fire extinguishers before firefighters arrived.
No one was injured.
